I’m Amar Taha, a Sudanese-American photographer based in Minnesota. I photograph people and everyday life, with work from Oman, Egypt and the United States.

I’m motivated by our differences, but also by how much we share as human beings. We have many of the same basic needs and wants, and we express joy, worry, love and hope in ways we can recognize in one another. Through my photographs, I want to highlight that shared humanity and help people feel connected across places and cultures.
